Vintage Veterinary tool pig snouter hog tongs, a great old farm medical instrument collectible.
Includes nice dove tailed wooden box and two boxes of hog shoat triangular rings by Wm. E. Pratt Chicago Ill.
The Tong identified as being manufactured by H. W. Hill & Co., Decatur,IL., circa 1870's to about 1905.
Featured in an Edwardian era Sears and Roebuck, it was nationally distributed and quite popular.
Iron Hog tongs were used by Veterinarians and farmers alike.
Great for taming Mother in laws.
